Veggie Pizza – This is another family favorite. We make homemade pizzas quite often. My son James asks for it every week. I use the same recipe I use for the whole wheat rolls.
Pizza Crust –
- 3 cups warm water
- 2 tablespoons yeast
- 1/4 cup honey
Combine yeast with warm water & honey. Let sit about 5 minutes until bubbly.
Add:
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 cup vital wheat gluten
- 2 T dough enhancer
- 7 1/2 cups winter white wheat flour
- Mix until combined and let the mixer knead it for a little bit. Add more flour if it is too sticky.
- Divide the dough into 4 and roll out on full sheet pans. You could also divide this out into 32 pieces of dough and roll out individual pizza crusts
- Cut up onions, mushrooms, peppers & olives.
- Spread marinara sauce on the crust
- Bake at 450 for 12-15 minutes.
- I cut up a few basil leaves and sliced tomatoes on top after cooking.
