My Plant Based Journey
My mom and dad raised me in a home where we had home cooked meals. I learned how to make meals for our family as a young woman. I have read lots of books about nutrition over many years. I have eaten mostly plant based for a really long time. In September 2015 I watched a video from “Discovering the Word of Wisdom” and read Jane Birch’s book of the same title. She recommended watching the movie “Forks over Knives”. My husband and I watched it and decided that 100% Whole Food Plant based was the right direction for the best health. The first few months were pretty rocky as I started eliminating things from my diet and the kitchen and figuring out what lengths we were each willing to go or ready for! I have been editing one family recipe at a time. It is always a work in progress.
