Whole Wheat Bread

I decided to put this as my first recipe on my recipe blog because I have been making bread longer than any recipe I have. I got my bread recipe from my Mom (Jean Jacobs). My mom taught me how to make bread as a little girl. I am so thankful for that. When we lived in Washington and when our girls were little I started trying to make bread again and it was hard. I would call my mom and I had a lot of failed attempts. As our children grew up I started making bread more often and then I was able to have more success.

Bosch 4 loaves
5 1/2 cups warm water
2 T yeast
2/3 cup honey (If you dont use honey then sub something else or leave it out)
2 T salt
2 T dough enhancer
1/2 cup vital wheat gluten
12 cups whole wheat flour
(I use winter white wheat & I like to use sprouted wheat flour, I will include how to do that in another post)

Kitchenaid 2 loaves
2 3/4 cups warm water
1 T yeast
1/3 cup honey
1 T salt
1 T dough enhancer
1/4 cup vital wheat gluten
6 cups whole wheat flour

Add warm water, yeast and honey and let sit for 5 minutes until the yeast is bubbly.  Add the remaining ingredients and knead with the mixer for 5 minutes.  Flour the counter and prepare the loaf pans.  Measure out the loaves and the knead and shape into loaves.  Let rise until top of pan.
Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
