Roasted Veggie Pizza

Veggie Pizza – This is another family favorite. We make homemade pizzas quite often. My son James asks for it every week. I use the same recipe I use for the whole wheat rolls.

Pizza Crust –

  • 3 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons yeast
  • 1/4 cup honey

Combine yeast with warm water & honey. Let sit about 5 minutes until bubbly.

Add:

  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cup vital wheat gluten
  • 2 T dough enhancer
  • 7 1/2 cups winter white wheat flour
  • Mix until combined and let the mixer knead it for a little bit. Add more flour if it is too sticky.
  • Divide the dough into 4 and roll out on full sheet pans. You could also divide this out into 32 pieces of dough and roll out individual pizza crusts
  • Cut up onions, mushrooms, peppers & olives.
  • Spread marinara sauce on the crust
  • Bake at 450 for 12-15 minutes.
  • I cut up a few basil leaves and sliced tomatoes on top after cooking.
